Beatriz is not a regular kind of girl. When she was little, she was obsessed with Amália Rodrigues (Portuguese Fado Singer) and she could name almost all car brands by age 2.
Today, she admires rapper Tyler the Creator, one of the most controversial figures in the music industry, someone who “is never afraid to be himself or to say what’s on his mind”
Cheerful and independent, she’s known by her friends for losing stuff what can only attest to her apparent care-free persona.
But Bia is not oblivious to others. She’s passionate about fighting poverty in third world countries where corruption and inequality are vulgar, showing her empathic nature. She wishes to speak French fluently and admires her mom, “the strongest person I know”, so she says.
Known for her dominant attitude on the catwalk and curly and voluminous hair that used to make her self-conscious, today she’s proud to say she loves it, “Being a model helped me realise that being different doesn’t mean being worse. Our differences are what makes us unique and I learned to like my hair”.
