MODA LISBOA - CAPITAL
Here’s a complete rundown of this season's edition of ModaLisboa – CAPITAL.
DAY 1
This edition of Moda Lisboa begins with a presentation from Portuguese designer Constança Entrudo. Highlighting the importance of celebrating second places in life, twin sisters ANA BEATRIZ DUARTE and INÊS DUARTE make their debut.
RITA VASCONCELOS also debuts in this presentation alongside TOMÁS DINIZ, EZY and TAINÁ SOUZA.
Afterwards is Sangue Novo (New Blood) a contest where young designers showcase their first collections.
With 5 designers competing, MARIA GRAD and MARINO NECHIFOR make their runway debut walking for Ihanny Luquessa, joined by international model LENA CAT.
MINGZE LI and FILIPE NEVES (national debut) stepped on the runway, walking for Duarte Jorge and Gabriel Silva Barros.
Returning to Moda Lisboa for the third time is international model VAL, walking for Dri Martins and Francisca Nabinho.
After Sangue Novo, comes the Workstation segment with TAINÁ SOUZA, FILIPE NEVES and VAL walking for Mestre Studio.
Closing the first day, the brand Alves/Gonçalves returns to Moda Lisboa with a new collection.
The show marks the runway debut of RITA VASCONCELOS who closed the show. She is joined by MARIA GRAD, TAINÁ SOUZA, LENA CAT and VAL.
DAY 2
On the second day, EDGAR FERNANDO makes his return to the catwalk walking for Carlos Gil joined by international models TANYA MADISSON and MARY HROMKO, debuting in Portuguese runways.
Next up is the collaboration between Moda Lisboa and IED – Instituto Europeo di Design where 6 designers present their collections.
EDGAR FERNANDO walked for Adele Domini and ALEXANDRA NEVES returns to the segment, walking for Alexia Sedda.
Luís Onofre known for designing shoes and accessories enlisted BEATRIZ MACHADO, and TANYA MADISSON to present his new collection.
Afterwards, MARY HROMKO walked for Kolovrat.
Freshly returned from Milan Fashion Week, ALEXANDRA NEVES walks for Luís Buchinho. She is accompanied by BEATRIZ MACHADO and TANYA MADISSON.
As day two comes to an end, designer Ricardo Andrez followed. EDGAR FERNANDO and MARY HROMKO were chosen to walk the runway.
Concluding the day, Luís Carvalho returns with BEATRIZ MACHADO having two looks and closing the show.
DAY 3
The last day of Moda Lisboa begins with the recurring presence of the Portuguese publication, Portuguese Soul. MINGZE LI is an usual subject in the presentation, having previously done two and a recent campaign for APPICAPS, the main supporter of the publication. This time he’s joined by DIOGO GUERREIRO and TIAN CHEN.
The runway shows begin with the designer Nuno Baltazar’s new collection infused with a message of support for Ukraine.
BEATRIZ MACHADO opened the show sporting a mask as well as TANYA MADISSON.
MARY HROMKO walked with written messages in her hand and chest that read: “Proudly from Ukraine”.
We return to the WORKSTATION segment with designers Bárbara Atanásio and Arndes.
TIAN CHEN and DIOGO GUERREIRO walked for Bárbara and LENA CAT walked for Arndes.
Up next is Valentim Quaresma, the portuguese designer recruted DIOGO GUERREIRO and TIAN CHEN for his show.
Continuing with a masked theme, another usual presence at Moda Lisboa is designer Duarte Hajime, with MINGZE LI telling the the tale of a samurai and his demons and TANYA MADISSON also walking the show.
Moda Lisboa – CAPITAL nears its end and is now time for Gonçalo Peixoto to present his new collection. BEATRIZ MACHADO opened the show, accompanied by LENA CAT and MARY HROMKO on the runway.
Dino Alves is the closing designer of this edition of Moda Lisboa – Capital. With an open view to the backstage, the show runs it’s course with TIAN CHEN, MINGZE LI, TANYA MADISSON and DIOGO GUERREIRO
stepping on the catwalk for the last time that night thus ending this edition of Moda Lisboa Fashion Week.
